COMMUNITY CARE

We are actively researching and seeking more funding and collaborative community partners. It is our goal to continue to provide Community Care at no cost to those being served. Be sure to join the mailing list for notifications and updates.

Transitions, shifts and changes are a part of living for all of us no matter what. Some are welcomed, others not so much. The intensity and duality of the last few years felt on the spectrum of emotions collectively and individually has been unprecedented. From COVID 19 to the cycles of life, we have all been and continue to be impacted. At times, it has felt like and actually was an {up}rooting going from what was familiar to what is unfamiliar. It continues to unfold and this is stretching on many levels for us as individuals, within our families, our children, our frontline carers, our neighborhoods and our communities as a whole.

Loss, grief, burnout, coronsomia, insomnia, isolation, exhaustion, restlessness, pandemic anxiety and re-emergence are very real and being felt by so many of us. Yet, joy, gratitude, abundance and renewed awakening is also very real and being felt at the same time.

Community care is needed now more than ever and these gatherings were birthed from this need. At no cost to participants, Community Care gatherings seeks to create a collective space for feeling, expressing, breathing and resting through discussion, encouragement and practices of stillness of breath work, meditation, yin and restorative yoga, Yoga Nidra and contemplative reflection.

I wanted to see what your yoga was all about. The Community Care on Saturday was informative and restful. Also meeting other women in the community was very uplifting. I really enjoyed the time with you and the other ladies. I have no problem telling others about Community Care.

The feeling of true Community bonding was amongst us. Just by showing up I think we all experienced the support we were seeking.

During the experience I felt safe, supported and a part of community. I took notice that many of the people there were in caretaking roles and or essential workers. I know from my own personal experience how caretaking can consume a person’s internal resources, leaving them feeling depleted and in need of care. With the pandemic still being a reality, it feels good knowing essential workers had the opportunity to care for themselves at this event.
